In the thick of the Great Recession, and over the decade previous, Georgia preservationists in general, and the Historic Preservation Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources in particular, were very effective in leveraging scarce resources. In this report, PlaceEconomics examines the state’s tax credit program, grants, and other initiatives to incentivize preservation and adaptive reuse projects.
