PORTICO is a partnership of four European cities whose goal is to make the partner cities’ archaeological heritage visible by developing new methods, techniques and ways of thinking about urban development – above and below ground. The cities are Chester, United Kingdom; Ghent, Belgium; Köln, Germany; and Utrecht, the Netherlands. Rypkema was the keynote speaker at their November mid-term conference.

The Korean National Commission for UNESCO hosted the Asia-Pacific International Forum on the Preservation of Urban Cultural Heritage in Seoul in November.
